Sadly cant give this place less than 1 star - If you care for you pets go else where. Staff are dreadfully rude, have no compassion for the animals they treat and will charge you for things you didn't ask for or need.

We have been with Vets for Pets for a good three years. Around six months ago, we had our dog spayed. At the time, we were told the total cost for the procedure would be £330. We attended the pre-operative check, went ahead with the surgery, and everything seemed fine. Later, we needed a travel document for our dog, which we paid £100 for—again, no issues at the time. However, today we took our dog in for another appointment and were informed that the pre-op check—despite being included in the spaying cost—had actually been counted as a separate vet consultation and deducted from our healthcare plan. This was never explained to us. On top of that, the travel document we paid for was also counted as another consultation under our plan. Again, this was never mentioned or discussed with us beforehand. I contacted other Vets for Pets practices in Newport, Kingswood, and Bristol, and they all confirmed that the pre-op check is included in the spaying price (which is the same £330). However, the Caerphilly branch appears to have its own pricing structure and policies, according to their reception team. This isn’t about the £60 consultation fee—it’s about the lack of transparency and what I consider to be very poor practice. The only thing they seem to care about is £££. P.S: Always ask for prescription and never accept medication from them. Paid 120£ for medication that on any other store was 17£

Charged me £55 for eye drops that you can buy online for £12.99 absolute rip off and saying they are for dogs when you read the instructions and do your research they are clearly for humans.

I wanted to share my recent experience so anyone considering using this practice or any other Vets4Pets location, can do so with dome awareness. I have recently changed Vets to another practice in Caerphilly and the customer service and interest in my dog's health is far superior than anything received here. My concerns had been ongoing for a while as appointments seemed to be quick and felt like being rushed out the door. My major concerns surrounds the care plans provided. I add a care plan for 7 years and never missed any payments. Only when leaving for another Vets was it pointed out that a vaccination had falled outside of the annual plan period. It was outside by 5 days and at no point did anyone point out it was outside of the period, even when I made the appointment well within the required date. When I then requested my dogs records be passed to another practice, all of a sudden I was met with an invoice. I then had to chase clarity over this over several months with no reply other than to say I still owed an outstanding invoice. The service has been very poor, and I will certainly never use this practice again, or any practice run by Vets4pets.

Very good vet

Our cat was admitted for a oral surgery, vet Maciek took care of her, explained everything that was required and provided medication to support recovery, our cat was very well looked after by the staff during her stay. She recovered very quick. Highly recommend, Maciek is outstanding vet who cares for his patients.
