Everything fine apart from the medicine cost. I understand a business needs a profit mark up; but paying £76 for essential antibiotic eye drops that I just found in Boots on the shelf for £8 really stung. Exactly the same eye drops, packaging, same active ingredients, same volume. A 950% mark up! This price doesn't include the consultation by the way.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS VET ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR COMMISSION PAY FROM DOING BLOOD TESTS ‼️ I would give zero stars if i could Two months ago, I brought my cat in because she had diarrhoea. I was pressured into agreeing to expensive blood tests costing £369.41, even though it was clear that a short course of antibiotics or other appropriate medication could have solved the problem and been tried first. The blood results came back completely normal, confirming that these tests were unnecessary. (blood test for diarrhoea is insane) Today, I returned for a routine check-up and flea and worm treatment, and was told my cat had a high temperature. Instead of providing any form of treatment or medication to bring her temperature down, I was once again told that blood tests were needed — despite the fact that she had them done only two months ago and the results came out perfect. When I questioned this, I was told I should not take her home “at risk,” which felt both dismissive and manipulative. I ended up paying for bloods once again as the vet was being argumentative and didn’t give any other option. (when medication could of easily solved the problem) The vet also stated that my cat’s heartbeat was fast and used that as another justification for blood tests. Even though on my cat’s records it states that she has severe anxiety. I explained that my cat suffers from anxiety, hates being in her carrier, and becomes very stressed around strangers and her heartbeat fastens — something I make clear during every appointment. Her heartbeat only fastens when she’s at the vets because she gets scared (like every other cat). Her heartbeat is perfectly NORMAL at home. The vet still tried to push for blood tests and persuaded me. Once again the bloods came back perfect. The vet’s failure to acknowledge this shows a serious lack of understanding and compassion. This repeated insistence on unnecessary and costly tests, while refusing to provide straightforward treatment, strongly suggests that financial motives are being placed above the welfare of the animals in your care. This is deeply concerning and unacceptable for a veterinary practice. This pattern of insisting on costly and repetitive testing, while refusing to provide basic treatment, demonstrates a clear disregard for both the animal’s wellbeing and the client’s trust. It appears that financial gain is being prioritised over appropriate veterinary care, which is completely unacceptable My cat’s old vets never once mentioned blood test just for a bit of diarrhoea or a high temperature, i will definitely be returning back to them! Update : I went to my old vets today and they said they understand her heartbeat gets fast when she’s anxious. Not like Vets4pets forcing blood tests over and over

Really helpful doctors and reception staff!

I’ve been in weekly for the last 8 weeks with my 3 cats with various issues. I’ve stopped going to Valley since their treatment of staff who went on strike & I’m happy with the care I’ve received from Andrea & her team. Whilst the location & nature of the business (owned by big 6) doesn’t lend itself to the same care/service as an independent, I’ve been very satisfied with the treatment received. The staff have been really patient with my and my anxious communications (I appreciate the WhatsApp service) about my terminally ill little cat. They’ve spent time helping me determine the right course of action for my girl & I’ve never felt pushed into anything, nor made to feel silly for the questions I’ve asked or choice I’ve made. Both dental treatments my cats had recently came in comfortably under the quote. And the practice is always happy to provide written prescriptions so I can find flea treatment at a price that suits my budget. I do hate the location though - both on the industrial site and the mezzanine above the store. It’s loud, doesn’t feel very secure and isn’t great when you’re going through something difficult. I’m dreading when the time comes for me to say goodbye to my girl and how exposed it’ll feel upstairs and walking through the store with my tears & grief. But what can be done? There’s not a great deal of choices in practices really. And no independent ones locally. So I’m happy with a Vet-led franchise with an owner who seems to care about her practice & the animals she sees.

My cat had fleas and the treatment was not working. I brought her to the vets so they could check her over. After a few seconds of looking, I was told she did NOT have fleas and it was in fact an allergic reaction to something. I had to pay £148 for an injection, but the scratching continued. I checked her last night and can see fleas still moving around, so I just wasted £148 on the completely wrong thing. They are refusing to refund me and won’t even give me the flea treatment for free to make up for their lazy error.

I can tell you now that they really love and appreciate all the animals that come into their practice. The nurses are extremely caring and helpful. They always want to know my cats' personality before taking them into the consolation rooms and take their time with them. The owner is also a brilliant and super friendly (Andrea). Highly recommended!!

Super attentive, very friendly and welcoming and always helpful! And always always make sure they make a fuss of my puppy .. she's probably the only dog that loves the vets 🤣
