Parc Vetcare describes itself as an independent veterinary clinic, and its website says it will provide a full out-of-hours service open to all from 1 March 2025. Recent reviews repeatedly mention urgent, late-evening/Sunday and out-of-hours care being provided quickly, plus unhurried consultations where vets talk through options. Specific examples include a travel-related emergency handled on a Saturday night with staff researching requirements, and a kitten sedated for an X‑ray and kept in for a few hours before going home improved. A couple of practical downsides are also raised: one reviewer reports spending “hundreds” without their dog improving before another clinic diagnosed the issue, and another notes there is currently no option for direct pet-insurance claims (they say they would need to pay upfront and claim back).

I moved to Parc because Bobby has had a few issues and most happening at night I would have had to have driven to Colwyn Bay . I live alone and I’m not very confident of night driving in places I don’t know . Bobby had received an unhurried first consultation. and my mind is at rest regarding his condition . The staff are lovely and Helen the vet caring . I’m relieved to have found Parc . Highly recommended .

We faced a super stressful travel-related emergency with our dog just before Christmas, and the team at Parc were incredibly kind and helpful in getting it all sorted. From Lauren at reception who took the time to figure out our options and give us pragmatic advice on a Saturday night out-of-hours when we needed to act quickly, to Helen who I didn't even meet but I believe researched everything to ensure we would have no travel issues, to Priya who administered our dog's treatment and was so friendly, thorough and reassuring. I don't live in Bangor but if I did, they would be my vet for sure. Practices like this really highlight how valuable an independent vet is. Highly recommend for pet owners who value both clinical and professional expertise and genuine support and empathy. Also a side note - I can't remember the calming plug-in you have at reception, but our dog was the chillest he's ever been at the vets in your waiting room!

Nice staff thats about it. took my dog to parc menai vet care with what looked like a Patch of Acne so they gave me some cream and he said it would clear up about two to three weeks later it had spread to his leg and side so I went back. There had some spray and shampoo and treated him with that but it just got worse it cost me Hundreds of pounds and got no where😡i decided to take him to another Vet to get a second opinion They diagnosed Him in 25 minutes, gave him the right treatment three days later I could see the difference in him he was improving he still has a bit to go I would never recommend these vets as I’ve had a very bad experience 🤦♂️🤦♂️

Excellent service. Discussed fully with me my concerns on the health of my pet and possible treatment plans. My only concern is that at present there are no contingency for direct claims from Pet Insurance Policies. This is a big issue for me personally as I am not able to pay upfront and then claim back. Should my pet have to have surgery/scans in the future it would mean I have to seek another practice whom would be able to fulfil a direct claim It is not something I would choose to do. However I would have no choice. This is my only negative with this otherwise amazing Practice

I have to highly praise the staff for how we were treated last Thursday 10.15 on 13th Nov. Having had beautiful 9 dogs, 2 rabbits, 2 budgies, 1 peacock all at different times over the years. As a family I have to tell you, that in all that time we have Never experienced from other vets the treatment this surgery gives. I have no name for the Lady vet who we saw 13th Nov Thursday evening. BUT she showed such caring, kindness, compassion and empathy in All she did. I was guided with no rushing, what decision I had waiting ahead of me. ItWas what many animal lovers go through very tough, but Siani my so much loved 14 Yr old collie needed to be out of any pain. The walks of 3 times daily had been hard for her, no animal should be suffering. Even now I, and family will Never ever forget Siani. SHE now, has a beautiful resting place, just where she enjoyed under the apple tree where she would get her shade from the sun. Out of all the Vets we registered with over the years,None not One found time to even write a letter to me, offering time to talk at any time, She the lady vet showed SO much Kindness, Compassion, Empathy, but this lady vet did give her Own time to put pen to paper which I will forever keep. She, Siani is at peace now, we gave her all and much more love, like she gave to me. I miss her so, so much. Thank you, to an extremely kind lady vet. Sorry I can only remember you by the nice small scarf that you had in the front of your hair. Diolch J. Ap

Highly recommend this fantastic veterinary practice. Friendly and reassuring staff, clearly dedicated to the animals in their care. A breath of fresh air for those of us who have had poor experiences with vets in the past - thank you so much for your kindness!

Very professional and caring. Staff on arrival were really good with us. We were there as an emergency late in the evening. The vet explained everything fully to us and was very respectful toward us and our old boy. Have been again today for a follow up and the standard was as excellent. Thank you for everything.

Took our 5 month old kitten, Lana, for an emergency appointment on Sunday. The staff were amazing - caring, sensitive and informative. We had to leave her there for a few hours as she needed to be sedated for an x-ray. When we picked her up in the evening she was like a different kitten - alert, clearly much better and although she was completely at ease in the vets, she wanted home to her sister. Everyone at the surgery were outstanding and clearly care. Lana's first vet visit was an easy experience for her (other than her being ill), she showed no fear, very little anxiety and I thank the staff for this.

I moved the care of my two dogs, Gruff and Obi, to Parc Vetcare because it is a) a local independent firm, and b) 24 hour care is offered. Hopefully I won't need the latter but it's good to know that it's available. The dogs were seen on their first visit for a health check by Harry who took his time in particular with Obi, a rescue cross who can be reactive towards men. They were on very good terms by the time we left - treats do help! The practice is very clean, very spacious, with lovely staff, and we had a very unhurried consultation. I had no issues at all with my previous vet practice but I think moving to Parc Vetcare was a good move on my part. Highly recommended.
