I feel incredibly let down by this veterinary practice, especially after everything my dog went through before sadly passing away.
I brought her in because she was clearly in pain, yelping, yet the vet would not examine her in front of me. I found this extremely upsetting as her owner, particularly when she was obviously distressed.
We were then given multiple different possible diagnoses — initially concerns about her ear, then IVDD/neck problems, and eventually meningitis. She was put through different medications and treatments and also underwent an urgent hysterectomy, causing her further pain and stress. I was later told that meningitis was not the correct diagnosis.
The notes themselves show the uncertainty around what was happening and the different possibilities being considered. I completely understand that diagnoses can change, but I feel my dog went through far too much while we were trying to find answers.
I was also told I would be put in their “black book” simply because I asked a genuine question about a member of staff wearing a different-coloured vest. I was not being rude — I was just trying to understand who was treating my dog.
On top of everything, the cleanliness of the practice was honestly shocking and added to my concerns.
I eventually moved vets, but by then my dog had been through so much pain, stress, medication and procedures. She has sadly passed away, and I will always feel incredibly upset knowing what she went through.
I only wish I had trusted my instincts and moved vets sooner.
Travelling home to Ireland on the ferry our dog had to take compulsory medication in the presence of a vet. We booked this fantastic clinic over the phone and were 100% satisfied with the experience. We were a bit early for the appointment and the wonderful receptionist (sorry we didn't get your name) offered to make us tea or coffee and chatted with us in between her busy schedule...such a lovely young woman! The young vet (sorry again re name!) was so kind and gentle with our little dog...a true gentleman...thank you both so much. ❤️
Fantastic staff. Lovely atmosphere. Did everything to keep my dog comfortable and kept me informed about every decision made

I called Anglesey Pet Clinic whilst I was on holiday in Rhosneigr as my dogs anal glands needed doing. They got her in the same day, everyone was friendly and it was very reasonably priced. 👍
Had a tough couple of weeks with our cat. She had a prolapse (unusual in a cat apparently). Everyone at the practice was so helpful and friendly (as they always are) and I'm pleased to say she's recovered well and is very content. Thank you so much.
Brought in my cat because she wasn’t eating and she was hardly moving she had the best care possible and the staff were so friendly unfortunately my cat didn’t make it but nevertheless the vets were brilliant

WE HAD A DOG CALLED LOLA AND SHE WAS ATTACKED BY A DOG AT A VERY YOUNG AGE AND SHE DEVELOPED SEVERE FEARFUL ANXIETY AND LASHED OUT AND HAD PANIC ATTACKS AND ALLSORTS WHEN WE TOOK LOLA OUT AND DOGS WERE AROUND.
EVEN AT HOME SHE WOULD RARELY EAT AND CONTANTLY CRY AND BE ANXIOUS AND ON EDGE 24/7 AND IT REALLY IS SO HEARTBREAKING SEEING THE STATE SHE PUTS HERSELF IN.MY WIFE SPENT OVER 5 THOUSAND POUNDS ON DOG BEHAVIOURISTS, ONE TOLD US LOLA IS HARDWIRED IN THIS BEHAVIOUR AND ITS GOING TO BE IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK BECAUSE OF HOW LONG ITS BEEN GOING ON AND EVERY TECHNIQUE ME MY WIFE AND BEHAVIOURISTS TRYED DID NOT WORK SOME GAVE UP HELPING US ALL TOGETHER AFTER HAVING ABOUT 2500 POUNDS.LOLA ALSO HAS BAD LEGS AND COULD ONLY RUN ABOUT 10 OR 15 MINUTES BEFORE SHE WOULD LIMP AN WE HAD TO CARRY HER TO THE TOIKET AND TO BED AND THIS CAN LAST UP TO 2WEEKS BECAUSE HER LEGS WERE THAT BAD!!!
STAFF AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC SAID WE WOULD RECOMMEND DOG BEHAVIOURISTS BUT IF YOU HAVE TRYED LOADS AND SPENT OVER 5 GRAND THEN WE WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYMORE AND IT SHOWS YOU CARE ALOT MORE THAN OTHER OWNERS WHO GIVE UP OR REHOME PROBLEMATIC DOGS.
ANGLESEY PET CLINIC ALSO TOLD ME 'WE WOULDNT RECOMMEND REHOMING LOLA AS SHE HAS ATTACKED A DOG SHE HAS LIVED WITH FOR 2 YEARS AND IF A NEW OWNER HAS HER AND TAKES HER OUT THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS LIKE LOLA ATTACKING ANOTHER DOG WE COULD GET INTO TROUBLE AND BE LIABLE AS WE KNOW OF LOLAS PROBLEMS SO SADLY IT WOULD BE HARD TO PUT HER TO SLEEP BUT KINDEST THING FOR LOLA AND STOP HER SUFFERING'.
WE CONTACTED THE CREMATION SERVICE AND EXPLAINED WE HAD LOLA BOOKED IN TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AND LOLAS SITUATION AND THEY ALSO SAID TO ME AND MY WIFE YOU REALLY CANT LET LOLA SUFFER AND BE LIKE THIS AND THE KINDEST THING WOULD BE TO LET HER GO WHICH IS VERY HARD TO HEAR AND DEAL WITH.
WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC TO BE TOLD BY A MALE VET HE WOULD NOT PUT LOLA TO SLEEP WHICH ABSOLUTLY ANGERED ME AND MY WIFE AS WE BRACED OURSELVES TO LOSE OUR FRIEND AND ALSO WAS OBVIOUSLY SEVERLY UPSET...AND THE FACT OUR LITTLE GIRL WILL CARRY ON SUFFERING EVERDAY I AM ABSOLUTLY FURIOUS!!!
We know this morning rang milfeddygon bodrwnsiwn vets who we told about lola and the situation with anglesey pet clinic who agreed Lola should not be expected to carry on and left to suffer like this when we an my wife have tryed everything and Lola cant be rehomed an have kindly but sadly put lola to sleep this morning.And we have now swapped vets from Anglesey Pet Clinic to milfeddygon bodrwnsiwn vets.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANGLESEY PET CLINIC TO ANYONE AS WE WERE TOLD BY UNDERSTANDING STAFF YES THEY AGREE TO PUT LOLA DOWN THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN TO BE TOLD WHEN WE TURNED UP ... NO BY A MALE VET.

LIKE I SAID THE OTHER STAFF WE SPOKE TO ON THE PHONE AND BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC UNDERSTOOD FULLY AND TOLD US PUTTING LOLA TO SLEEP WOULD BE THE KINDEST THING...SO THATS WHAT WE TRYED TO DO AND BOOKED LOLA IN TO THEN TURN UP AND BE TOLD NO BY THIS CLOWN MALE VET!!!
TO TREAT PEOPLE AND THEIR PETS WITH SUCH DISRESPECT AT SUCH A BAD TIME IS DISGUSTING!!!
