Anglesey Pet Clinic is an independent practice that says it has been caring for pets since 2007. Based on its stated equipment and advanced procedures (including endoscopy, echocardiograms and orthopaedic/BOAS surgery), it appears set up for more than routine vaccinations—owners also describe same-day treatment for urgent problems.
Concrete examples from the latest reviews include: taking extra time with a nervous dog during an appointment; fitting a dog in “straight away” for bloody diarrhoea and running an in-house blood test before starting antibiotics; operating the same day on a severe thigh wound; and providing a blood transfusion at the clinic after owners asked not to be referred elsewhere. One recent 1-star review describes a serious breakdown in expectations around euthanasia (staff initially indicating it was appropriate, then a vet declining at the appointment), suggesting communication/consistency may vary by case and clinician.

WE HAD A DOG CALLED LOLA AND SHE WAS ATTACKED BY A DOG AT A VERY YOUNG AGE AND SHE DEVELOPED SEVERE FEARFUL ANXIETY AND LASHED OUT AND HAD PANIC ATTACKS AND ALLSORTS WHEN WE TOOK LOLA OUT AND DOGS WERE AROUND. EVEN AT HOME SHE WOULD RARELY EAT AND CONTANTLY CRY AND BE ANXIOUS AND ON EDGE 24/7 AND IT REALLY IS SO HEARTBREAKING SEEING THE STATE SHE PUTS HERSELF IN.MY WIFE SPENT OVER 5 THOUSAND POUNDS ON DOG BEHAVIOURISTS, ONE TOLD US LOLA IS HARDWIRED IN THIS BEHAVIOUR AND ITS GOING TO BE IMPOSSIBLE TO BREAK BECAUSE OF HOW LONG ITS BEEN GOING ON AND EVERY TECHNIQUE ME MY WIFE AND BEHAVIOURISTS TRYED DID NOT WORK SOME GAVE UP HELPING US ALL TOGETHER AFTER HAVING ABOUT 2500 POUNDS.LOLA ALSO HAS BAD LEGS AND COULD ONLY RUN ABOUT 10 OR 15 MINUTES BEFORE SHE WOULD LIMP AN WE HAD TO CARRY HER TO THE TOIKET AND TO BED AND THIS CAN LAST UP TO 2WEEKS BECAUSE HER LEGS WERE THAT BAD!!! STAFF AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC SAID WE WOULD RECOMMEND DOG BEHAVIOURISTS BUT IF YOU HAVE TRYED LOADS AND SPENT OVER 5 GRAND THEN WE WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYMORE AND IT SHOWS YOU CARE ALOT MORE THAN OTHER OWNERS WHO GIVE UP OR REHOME PROBLEMATIC DOGS. ANGLESEY PET CLINIC ALSO TOLD ME 'WE WOULDNT RECOMMEND REHOMING LOLA AS SHE HAS ATTACKED A DOG SHE HAS LIVED WITH FOR 2 YEARS AND IF A NEW OWNER HAS HER AND TAKES HER OUT THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS LIKE LOLA ATTACKING ANOTHER DOG WE COULD GET INTO TROUBLE AND BE LIABLE AS WE KNOW OF LOLAS PROBLEMS SO SADLY IT WOULD BE HARD TO PUT HER TO SLEEP BUT KINDEST THING FOR LOLA AND STOP HER SUFFERING'. WE CONTACTED THE CREMATION SERVICE AND EXPLAINED WE HAD LOLA BOOKED IN TO BE PUT TO SLEEP AND LOLAS SITUATION AND THEY ALSO SAID TO ME AND MY WIFE YOU REALLY CANT LET LOLA SUFFER AND BE LIKE THIS AND THE KINDEST THING WOULD BE TO LET HER GO WHICH IS VERY HARD TO HEAR AND DEAL WITH. WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT YESTERDAY AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC TO BE TOLD BY A MALE VET HE WOULD NOT PUT LOLA TO SLEEP WHICH ABSOLUTLY ANGERED ME AND MY WIFE AS WE BRACED OURSELVES TO LOSE OUR FRIEND AND ALSO WAS OBVIOUSLY SEVERLY UPSET...AND THE FACT OUR LITTLE GIRL WILL CARRY ON SUFFERING EVERDAY I AM ABSOLUTLY FURIOUS!!! We know this morning rang milfeddygon bodrwnsiwn vets who we told about lola and the situation with anglesey pet clinic who agreed Lola should not be expected to carry on and left to suffer like this when we an my wife have tryed everything and Lola cant be rehomed an have kindly but sadly put lola to sleep this morning. And we have now swapped vets from Anglesey Pet Clinic to milfeddygon bodrwnsiwn vets. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANGLESEY PET CLINIC TO ANYONE AS WE WERE TOLD BY UNDERSTANDING STAFF YES THEY AGREE TO PUT LOLA DOWN THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN TO BE TOLD WHEN WE TURNED UP ... NO BY A MALE VET. I ALSO WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANGLESEY PET CLINIC BECAUSE OF THE ADDED TRAUMA AND STRESS THEY HAVE CAUSED ME AND MY WIFE AT THIS VERY BAD TIME...AND ARE MEANT TO CARE FOR PETS AND CLEARLY DID NOT CARE ABOUT LOLA OR US AND THAT MY WIFE SPENT OVER 5 GRAND ON BEHAVIOURISTS AND WE TOOK LOLAS WELL BEING AND MENTAL HEALTH VERY SERIOUSLY AND THIS VET DIDNT CARE ABOUT LOLAS WELL BEING OR MENTAL HEALTH WHATSOEVER WHEREAS THE STAFF WE BOOKED IT WITH UNDERSTOOD FULLY WE HAVE TRYED FOR 6 YEARS AND SPENT ALOT OF MONEY AND THE STAFF WE BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT WITH FUKLY UNDERSTOOD JUST HOW BAD LOLA IS APART FROM THE MALE VET WHO REFUSED TO PUT HER TO SLEEP!!! ALL I EVER WANTED WAS TO HELP MY LITTLE GIRL AND THIS MALE VET COULDNT CARE LESS HOW BAD LOLA WAS SUFFERING, NOT EATING, DOG ON DOG PROBS,BAD LEG PROBLEMS ETC AND HOW SERIOUS IT WAS AND MOST OF ALL DIDNT CARE ABOUT HOW SERIOUS IT WAS AND ANGERED ME AND MY WIFE... LIKE I SAID THE OTHER STAFF WE SPOKE TO ON THE PHONE AND BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT AT ANGLESEY PET CLINIC UNDERSTOOD FULLY AND TOLD US PUTTING LOLA TO SLEEP WOULD BE THE KINDEST THING...SO THATS WHAT WE TRYED TO DO AND BOOKED LOLA IN TO THEN TURN UP AND BE TOLD NO BY THIS CLOWN MALE VET!!! TO TREAT PEOPLE AND THEIR PETS WITH SUCH DISRESPECT AT SUCH A BAD TIME IS DISGUSTING!!!

What a wonderful practice. Our Pet spaniel Molly was taken seriously ill in January this year. The care given to her and attention to detail by the team has definitely saved her life. She needed a blood transfusion and they immediately respected our wishes of doing the transfusion at the clinic rather than taking her to Manchester. The last few months have been stressful to say the least but thanks to you for doing your utmost to save Molly. If it wasn't for you Molly wouldn't be with us now. Thank you all, what a team xxx

This clinic was so helpful with treating my collie cookie. We were on holiday when Cookie got a really bad tum and blood in her poo. They got her in straight away, gave her a blood test and antibiotics. Thankfully she was bleeding internally it was just a very bad tummy. Thank you for looking after my dog and being so kind with me being so upset

I am so impressed by Anglesey Pet Clinic. I rushed my greyhound in 4 weeks ago after he got a severe wound to his thigh whilst we were on holiday. They operated on him that day and he's as good as new now. They are lovely, professional people and charge exceedingly fair prices. Thank you so much for your excellent service and care.

Thank you for the care you gave my dog Lucky, whilst on holiday. I wish you lived nearer I would highly recommend you to anyone . to have a Vet that cares about pets and not just in it for the money. I was amazed at the cost so cheap. Lucky is doing well and like a young dog again. once again Thank you and all your staff for the care and attention paid . Barbara Croft

I would recommend the veterinary surgery and would use them again. We are extremely grateful to all staff at Anglesey Pet Clinic. We were worried about our dog and being away from home. The receptionists and vet we saw were professional, caring and understanding. The vet gave our dog a thorough examination and gave him medication. The cost was reasonable too. Thank you to everyone who helped us.
