We have had all our pets treated with this veterinary practice Fantastic service Always so helpful and gives you options on treatment Although I don't think my cats enjoy the visit to the clinic

My cat had a suspected rta, rushed him to the vets who said there's nothing wrong and sent him home with metacam, we went back a number of times over a two week period during which time they convinced us to have x-rays, abdominal ultrasounds, blood tests and 2 occasions of overnight stays & more emergency appointments along with 3 lots of medication. Two thousand pounds spent on his 'care' only to sadly have him put to sleep, in hindsight our poor baby suffered for 3 weeks he must have been in so much pain, it breaks my heart to think about how shepherds just couldn't care less. Shepherds the vet do not care about your pets, the junior vets are always up selling. Even at the very end when my cat couldn't lift his head the junior vet tried to convince us to send him to a specialist. This has taught me a valid life lesson to always listen to my gut instincts, even if the 'experts' who we trusted without a shadow of a doubt are convincing us to keep a very sick animal alive & in pain because any glimmer of hope we will cling to because we don't want to lose them, when in reality it's just an up sell. If you think of it as a business; why offer euthenisation for £80 when they could get £2k first, it makes sense as a business that they do this. My cat suffered because of them and their lack of moral values. It's just a profitable business out to make money. I've had pets my whole life and lived in England, Scotland and now Wales and I have never experienced a vets practice like Shepherds the vet. You live & learn, I'm just devastated that he suffered for so long & that we trusted that they were doing everything in his best interest sadly they weren't. (Edited to remove offensive language)

Receptionist booked me in for 9.30am Monday morning. I arrived at 9.28am - it was a torrential downpour - there is NO near parking. So i knocked on the door. It does,nt open until 9.30am. They left me standing with my dog in the torrential rain. When the receptionist came to open the door she picked-up the post and walked away leaving me to open the door myself. Obviously did'nt like me knocking the door at 9.28am. As it was a downpour I said if they open at 9.30am why did'nt they book me in for 9.45am. Owners and their dogs have to book in and settle surely - the receptionist snapped at me. Then I snapped back at her - she then said I could leave without my dog having his injection. The vets obviously went on their receptionists side. I wonder would they like being left in a torrential downpour with their pet. We were both soaked through! obviously NO care really! I can see another review here about their reception. Unprofessional and did'nt care about a pet or its owner being absolutely drenched. GO elsewhere!

Took our parson Russell here yesterday for first time as we have just moved here. The receptionist and vet (Daisy) were welcoming and thorough in her examination. Had boosters and repeat medication. Glad to have found this vets as it seems a lot of vets in the area are not taking on new clients and have waiting lists.
