#2 Vet in Llandudno Junction, Gwynedd
RSPCA Aberconwy Animal Welfare Clinic is an RSPCA branch welfare clinic rather than a typical private practice. The clinic is described on its website as appointment-only for people in receipt of means-tested benefits, and it also works with neighbouring branches to run the North Wales Mobile Animal Clinic. When the clinic is closed, its website says veterinary care can be accessed via supporting partner services.
From the latest reviews available to us, owners most often mention patient, question-friendly consultations (including cats being examined with time taken to explain conditions) and staff being helpful with practical welfare support, such as arranging a replacement spay voucher when one was lost. There is also one serious negative account describing a dog not being examined due to the vet being “too scared,” yet medication being prescribed—this conflicts with the otherwise positive descriptions of care.
4.7 stars from 26 reviews. - Owners describe unhurried consultations where staff answer questions and explain a pet’s condition (e.g., a cat’s condition discussed in detail).

The whole team at Aberconwy RSPCA Vets are amazing, compassionate, professional and friendly. There is great attention to detail during the consultation and care is delivered in a kind and patient manner, taking time to answer any questions I may have about my cat's condition. Leo and Suki are very happy customers! Thank you 😊

If Carlsberg made Doggy Doctors, then this here Vet's Practice C/O R.S.P.C.A Animal Clinic, Llandudno Junction would be probably be the best in the world. Thanks to all the staff for years of patience and friendly service X.

I went here to pick up a voucher towards the speying of my dog. On the long bus journey home ,I actually lost the voucher! I immediately rang them, and told them what had happened, and their response was amazing to me. They offered to write another for me to pick up in a couple of days time. I can't praise the staff highly enough for helping me so promptly. Thank you so much everyone, you really saved my bacon today, and put my mind at ease.

The staff that work at this branch are amazing. It's always very busy and they are always rushed off their feet, but still do a good job! Thank you for all you've done for Lad and Narla over the past 12 months. We'd like to say a special thank you to the reception ladies (think their names are Nan and Jan?) And also Kelly. They are all so kind, helpful, supportive and understanding, and make a great team. Nat & Ash, Lad & Narla. Xx

I brought my dog here for his skin condition concerns but he was not seen to by the vet as she was too scared of him. However, she was still willing to prescribe him tablets. I then went to a professional vets and was told if he was to have what the RSPCA prescribed him he would have been in more trouble as what they guessed the problem was was not actually the problem. Seriously think about it before taking your animals here, literally for the sake of their lives.
