We got an emergency appointment on a Saturday after not long moving to the area when other local vets had turned us away. The vet was really good with our dog and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We ordered flea treatment for just 2 little cats (less than 5kgs each) got a text message to come pick up £37. Sounds reasonable for special flea treatment - went to pick up same day I got the message and they charged us £96?!! For two tiny flea pippets?! They are ridiculously expensive! Apparently the £37 was for other meds we paid for a week prior. So not just are their admin communication poor but they overcharge. Not going back.

We've been using this practice for well over 20 years - Ever since vet Russell Chanler worked miracles with the cruciate ligaments our beloved springer spaniel, I've recommended this practice to so so many people over the years but 4 spaniels later i now tell people to avoid this vets. Over the last 5 years they have become the complete opposite to what they used to be. Reception staff are rude, very unhelpful and at their best basically useless. No continuity of vets - Different one every time we go there.No long a pet focused caring practice, now just money led organisation. I would pay any price for my dogs health but this practice have forgotten our pets are our family, to them they're just a name and account number- downfall of becoming part of a money focused organisation. Completely destroyed the incredible caring practice we used to love.

I have been using this vet for about a year and had good experiences, but the last two visits have been very poor and the consultations seemed rushed. Recently went with my dog for a consultation and there was first some confusion around what treatment would be needed and then after the vet asked for the opinion of another vet there was absolute certainty about what would be needed with only one option of treatment (which was very expensive) and nothing explained in depth. I left feeling like the options were not explained. The past two visits have left me in doubt about moving forward with any treatment. Unfortunately, it looks like I am going to have to change vets

I had a wonderful experience at Alpha Vets when I brought Winston in for his jabs. The vet was incredibly kind and caring, taking the time to explain everything in detail. This made us feel welcome and at ease. The reception crew were also friendly and accommodating, and they even took a liking to Winston. We can't wait to visit again and highly recommend Alpha Vets for their exceptional customer service and care.
