Avoid this horrible place Our dog stayed for a weekend and we were told we’d have regular updates on how he had settled in etc but got nothing. Phoned them numerous times but never any answer the same with emails The blanket we took to keep with him had to be thrown because of the terrible smell and his toys had to be washed thoroughly Awful experience

AVOID THIS PLACE I had a deeply upsetting experience with this kennel and would not recommend them to anyone who truly cares about their pet’s well-being. During the entire duration my puppy stayed there, no one answered my calls or responded to my emails — not once. I was promised regular updates, photos, and a detailed report card, especially after his daily walks (which I paid extra for), but received none of it.

First time I have placed my dog in kennels here. The staff seemed really friendly and my dog appeared to have been well looked after. Will definitely use again

I've used this dog kennel three times now for over a week each time, and I'm very pleased with the service. My dog is always excited to see the staff, which tells me he feels comfortable and well-cared for during his stay. The team is friendly and professional.

Our three cross breeds stayed for a couple of weeks recently at LGW. Two of them had stayed before with no issues and it was a pleasant experience all around (for dogs and owners). This recent visit however was far from satisfactory. I dropped the dogs off with an IKEA bag containing cushions, familiar blankets, toys, their food and prescribed medication for one of the dogs. I walked towards the kennel area but was told that I could only go in by appointment and with permission of the owner (who wasn’t present). I thought that a little odd but trusted them as my dogs had stayed there previously). I was told we could check in on their app portal (Gingr) for updates and photos during their stay. When I collected the dogs they were smelling quite badly and were a little muddy but staff assured me they had just been running in the field. I was handed the IKEA bag and put it in the car. When I got in the car the smell was overwhelming. When I got home I noticed that every blanket, cushion and vaccination certificates were absolutely soaking wet. The smell indicated it was urine but the wetness suggested it was other fluids (water?) as well. I can only presume that my dogs had spent two weeks sleeping on wet bedding. During our time away we received no information or photos about our dogs. All of the blankets had to be hot washed but the cushions needed to be disposed of as the smell didn’t subside even after two washes. I called the kennel to speak about the situation but (as is usually the case) there was no answer. After a few days I received an email asking me for a review. Prior to the review I emailed them raising my concerns but after 48 hours they have not responded; hence my review here. Suffice to say that we will not be using the services of Little Green Westra again. In short, we paid just over £1100 for three dogs to live in squalor for two weeks.
