Tenby vets is an independent practice (no corporate group mentioned) that’s been operating since 1957 and moved into larger premises in 2009. It’s set up to see both small and large animals (per the website) and appears geared to fitting in urgent problems quickly: multiple reviewers describe same-day appointments for issues like eye injuries and stomach upset, with one reporting being seen within 5 minutes. Specific touches mentioned include being let in via a side door when a dog was unwell, and staff coordinating care across the team (e.g., one vet bringing in another to help find a solution).
Google rating: 4.8 stars from 319 reviews. - Fast access to appointments, including same-day bookings and one report of being seen within minutes for an eye injury.

Lovely Camilla checked Dolly over and gave her the annual booster injection. No fuss, no multiple attempts. Patience while I held Dolly safely then over in seconds. Recommend this vet highly.

Whilst holidaying in Pembrokeshire last week our Black Labrador was hit in the eye by a stone that our own kids were skimming into the sea ! We found the name of the closest vets and rushed her over to Tenby vets. We cannot praise the receptionists and vets who saw her enough. We were seen within 5 minutes of arriving , 3 vets thoroughly examined and treated her ( apologises we don't remember their names ) they were all so thoughtful , kind and professional ( even making us a coffee ) . they showed genuine concern for us all and we can't thank them enough and to top it of their charges are very reasonable

On holiday,my 13 year old Old English Sheepdog came down with a stomach bug, diarrhoea, was not good,he was already terminally ill with liver & spleen issues,he really didn’t need this, rang our vets back home & they advised to see a vet in Wales. Tenby vets got us in that day,no problem, they were waiting for us & let us in via a side door, vet was fab, listened to my concerns & we were given antibiotics, which luckily worked, the receptionist owned an Old English as well,Gaynor, she was lovely & had time to listen to me & understand my tears, totally recommend this vet practice.

I can't recommend Tenby vets enough! It is so difficult to find a genuine vet practice who really care especially Ashley who has been absolutely lovely and when it was time to put our beloved dog Buddy to sleep.. the reassurance and care not only buddy had but us too was so comforting at such a horrible time. Ashley was always happy to answer our questions especially mine that were repetitive. He took his time with us & I'll never forget the care he gave. I picked Buddy's ashes up today on his birthday & he came home in a beautiful wooden box with his name engraved on it and he is now back at home where he belongs. I'll always be grateful for how well you all took care of buddy especially in his last moments.
