I was on holiday in Cardigan recently and my dog came down with an ear infection. I called Priory vets and the very kind and helpful receptionist was able to get us an appointment on the same day. The vet was so lovely to my dog who gets very stressed in vet surgeries and prescribed him medication that turned things around within a few days. I would highly recommend this surgery, particularly for pets (and owners!) that struggle a bit in the vets as the kindness & calmness made the whole process quick and easy.

Thanks so much to Priory vets, our dog developed a massive heamatoma in his ear while we were on holiday. We were seen within 2 hours and Lowri was amazing, she sorted him out really quickly and even called us later to check all was going ok. Really put us at ease in a stressful situation. The reception staff were both really kind and lovely too

Great service, lovely staff, highly recommended as a local vet.. We called at 8.30am on a Saturday and our doggo was seen at 10am with a positive outcome. Would be lovely if we could go back to having longer hours and service in Aberaeron which is much closer for us than Cardigan, fingers crossed.

I’m giving 5 stars as I have been a satisfied client for many years. Excellent and dedicated caring staff and treatment is thorough and done with care and is fully explained and you are given the price up front so there are no nasty surprises. My only concern is that the emergency out of hours service is now based 26 miles away in Carmarthen. The travel time from Cardigan takes on average about 45 minutes. This could mean the difference between life and death. I do find this a bit worrying. It was reassuring that during out of hours you could speak to the on call vet who then would meet you at the local surgery. I also feel for pet owners with no transport who need an emergency vet out of hours.

We have always had wonderful treatment from priory vets until recently. The visit before yesterday's the vet prescribed a drug but a mistake was made with the dosage meaning that I was giving my beautiful cat double the correct dose. Fortunately she was fine but the vet dismissed it as just one of those things. Yesterday the cat came in for here 6months check and we were told that in the future she would need 2 teeth extracted and it would cost £600 plus the vet suggested a wellness check before surgery at a cost of £80. This price seems very expensive as she would only need a light anaesthetic for a quick extraction. Fortunately I can afford this price as I will willing give up my weeks holiday for my beloved cat but I do wonder how many pets will be left in distress due to owners not having sufficient funds.....
